The 2009 season proved again there was no shortage
of Bass. Anglers brought to the boat over 900 Bass, several in the
50 lb. range, thirty in the 40 lb. range and hundreds in the 25
to 35 lb. class. Anglers used a mix of live bait on light tackle to
produce these fish.
The Fluke fishing was the best in many years.
Daily limits were taken through the summer months with a 12.3
pounder and a 10.5 pounder the biggest. Many in the 5 to 8
pound class were caught daily.
Offshore heated up in late July and August. These
trips produced Bluefin Tuna in the 25 to 35 lb. range. Late fall
Bass
and Tautog trips produced some excellent outings when the weather
co-operated. Anglers caught Bass to 40 lbs and Blackfish to 10 lbs with limits on
most trips.
I see a very productive 2010 season ahead for The Bottom Line and
all aboard.
